There are a whole load of really helpful resources out there for learning parts. Youtube is a great start, with artists such as Hillsong, Bethel and Elevation sometimes putting out tutorials for their own songs, plus other musicians creating tutorials for one another for free. If you want to check out some other things, here are the resources that we use and love. We’ve even got group discounts for you, so you can access them for even less!
It’s really important to us that money is not an object to anyone accessing these resources, so if you’d like to benefit from these but the cost is a barrier please have a chat to us so that we can support you.
Multitracks Rehearsal Mix
This is my (Matt’s) absolute favourite resource, and it’s the cheapest. Multitracks has all of the original album versions of pretty much any worship song you can imagine, and you can break it down to hear individual parts boosted in the mix so you can hear what they’re actually playing. You can also remove that part from the mix so you can play along. This is the best way to find out what the exact parts the pros are playing are. You can hear what each of the five different electric guitars on a Bethel song are doing, just how much distortion is on the bass on a Hillsong album, and what the keys players are doing amongst all the tracks. Wanna know what else? You can transpose it into different keys as well!
Note – for BVs and singers this doesn’t normally have parts for you to listen to because the vocals are taken out a lot of the time. However, it can still be useful to change the key of the track to sing along to.

WorshipOnline
This is my next favourite, and provides something a bit different, which is why I’m subscribed to this alongside Multitracks. These guys make video tutorials and tabs for every instrument for the most popular worship songs. Every song is broken down into two electrics parts and two keys parts as well, which is really helpful for when you don’t have seven electric guitarists playing at once like lots of albums do. Rather than having to work the parts of for yourself, with WorshipOnline they’ve done the hard work for you. They’ll talk through patches, effects, and the parts themselves. Great if you don’t feel confident or have the time to learn parts by ear.
This one is great for BVs! They’ll teach you great harmonies, often exactly the same as the pros are singing.

WorshipU
WorshipU comes from the guys and gals behind Bethel Music. It has some great song tutorials and music lessons, but the best thing about it is their depth of teaching on what it means to be a worshipper, leadership, songwriting and all of the ‘under the hood’ aspects of being part of a worship team.
We don’t have a discount for this one, but you can get a free trial and it’s worth being a member for a month or two when you’ll have time to watch a few of their teaching sessions.
This pricing is made possible by team pricing structures offered by the services we are recommending. As these pricing models are tiered depending on numbers of users, we have set a nominal flat fee for access to each, which with a low number of users is subsidised by the Woodlands Group of Churches and at a higher number of users may mean we more than cover the costs. If this latter situation arises, we will look to revise down the cost. In the unlikely event that we make a profit from providing this access this will be channeled directly into the development of worship resources for the whole team and provision of subsidised access to those who may be less well off.
Any subscription made through this page is a participation in a team membership. We are together subject to the terms and conditions of the respective websites and any changes to the service or pricing that they make in future.
